Excursions for AIDA travelers

Since Madagascar is regularly visited by AIDA, here are a few tour suggestions for Nosy Be, Antsiranana and Toamasina. If you are using AIDA at one of the listed locations, just send me a booking request. I also like to plan tours in other places in Madagascar.

Nosy Be
We welcome you outside the harbor. In the morning you take the speedboat to the island of Nosy Komba, also called lemur island. The island consists of a former volcanic cone, which still houses today black lemur species. You also explore the village as part of a two-hour hike. Shortly after visiting the lemur island you take the speedboat to the snorkeling paradise Nosy Tanikely. Here you can discover underwater colorful fish, crabs, corals and sea turtles.

Antsiranana
We welcome you outside the harbor. There are two options.
1. In the morning you drive through the former volcanic rock massif of the National Park Montagne d’Ambre. In the dense forest area you can discover some lemur species. The park is home to so many birds and chameleons that you can not overlook them. The small highlight of the hike is the smallest ground chameleon. The park also offers a sacred lake and large waterfalls.
2. Drive to Tsingy Rouge. The Red Tsingy is red sandstone from laterite. Depending on how much time you have, in the afternoon you drive by the Montagne de Français and Sugar Loaf to Ramena beach.

Toamasina
We welcome you inside the port. Again, we offer two options.
1.) Drive to the Ivoloina Zoo. On an area of about 282 Ha not only lemurs are to be seen, but also reptiles, snakes, chameleons, frogs and turtles.
2.) You take a boat tour on a traditional boat on the Pangalane Channel. Pangalane Channel is a waterway with a length of about 645 km and a width of about 50 m, which runs parallel to the Indian Ocean. On the way you can observe fishermen in their daily work. You will also be guided on foot through the fishing village. The day ends with a city tour in Toamasina. The excursions include english speaking guides, vehicle and snorkeling gear (only on Nosy Be). Food is not included in the offers.
