The journey starts and ends in Antananarivo. The following stopovers will be made during the journey: Antsirabe – Miandrivazo – Tsiribihina – Bekopa – Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park – Kirindy National Park – Morondava – Belo sur Mer – Manja – Morombe – Andavadoaka – Salary – Ifaty.

Description

Day 1 Antananarivo
You will be picked up at the airport by your guide and taken to your hotel.

Day 2 Miandrivazo (Antananarivo – Antsirabe – Miandrivazo)
Today you spend most of your time in your jeep. On the way you pass by the city of salt, Antsirabe. In Antsirabe we take a little break.
Overnight In Miandrivazo.

Day 3 Tsiribihina (boat trip)
Today you get onto a colorful painted motorboat and enjoy the quiet trip on the Tsiribihina river. During the boat trip you will see different species of birds, crocodiles, and large rice areas. You go slowly and comfortably to a waterfall with a natural pool, where the brown lemurs are already waiting for you.

Day 4 Tsiribihina (boat trip)
After visiting fisher’s village on the riverside, where the largest source of income is tobacco and cotton, we continue to a breathtaking Baobab landscape.

Day 5 Bekopaka
In the morning you will go by boat to the mooring where the car will be waiting for you. In the afternoon, drive to the edge of the Limestone Mountains Tsingy de Bemaraha.

Day 6 Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park
Today you spend Times in Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park. This hike offers you some viewpoints with a wonderful panoramic view. From some view points you can look up to the Tsingy of Ankarana in the north. The highlight in the park is the Fossa, the largest predator in Madagascar. In addition, you can still spot the mungos, different types of lemurs, birds, bats, amphibians and reptiles.

Day 7 Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park
In the morning you visit the small Tsingy. Here you will feel its difference compared with the big Tsingy. After paddling a canoe you will pass through underground caves and at the end you will see the Sakalava Tombs.

Day 8 Kirindy Private Reserve (Bekopaka – Kirindy)
Today you leave the limestone area in the direction to Morondava. On the way back you will stop at Kirindy Private Reserve. At dusk, start your search for the nocturnal lemur and chameleon species.

Day 9 Morondava (Kirindy – Morondava)
In the morning you will hike on the dry forest area to see the various lemur and bird species. You will also discover special baobabs on the hike. In the afternoon you drive by the “Holy Baobab” and “Lover Baobab” to reach the Baobab Allee, a famous natural monument.

Day 10 Belo sur Mer (Morondava – Belo sur Mer)
Early in the morning you drive on a sandy track with several salt mines further south. On the way you will pass by “miniature baobabs,” swamps and lakes. Your destination for the day is the fisher‘s village, where you can visit a traditional factory for wooden boats.

Day 11 Kirindy-Mitea National Park
By canoe you reach the Kirindy-Mitea National Park. On the dunes of the park, you may be lucky enough to admire the pink flamingos. Furthermore lemur and reptile species live in the dry forest, as well as other species of birds.

12 Manja (Belo sur Mer – Manja)
Continue on a sandy path to the village of Manja. On your way you will pass by fascinating bottle baobabs.

Day 13 Morombe (Manja – Morombe)
After leaving Manja, drive along long white sandy beaches. Here you will be shown the oldest baobab. You reach your destination after you have crossed the river by ferry.

Day 14 Andavadoaka (Morombe – Andavadoaka)
Continue along the beautiful, snow-white beaches. If you want you can go snorkeling on the beach or just go swimming.

Day 15 Salary (Andavadoaka – Salary)
We leave the small fishing village and continue south. At today’s destination, you can snorkel and swim again. In addition, pirogue and quad, biking are offered.

Day 16 Ifaty (Salary – Ifaty)
Today you leave the sandy path and continue your journey on tarred roads. On the way you will visit the baobab forest “Reniala” where you will see not only baobabs but also some species of birds, reptiles and lemurs.

Day 17 Antananarivo (Ifaty – Toliary – Antananarivo)
By car, you will be transferred to the airport in Toliary, where you will board the plane to Antananarivo. Upon arrival in Antananarivo you will return to your former hotel.

Day 18
Home flight In the morning you will be shown the sights in Antananarivo, such as the Royal Palace and the craft market. Afterwards you will be transferred to the airport.


The price

The total price includes mid-range accommodation, entrance fees, boat trip (all inclusive) and domestic flight. Not included are the international flight, lunch and dinner (except during your boat trip), as well as Tips. I accompany you throughout the tour. Also in the parks I will accompany you in addition to the local guides.
