Some outings require a boat. Allow time for getting there, the briefing and possible changes due to the weather.<\/p>\r\n<h3>Equipment and what is included<\/h3><p>Before booking, check whether masks, snorkels, fins or scuba equipment are included. This does not promise calm seas in every location. Wind, currents, tides and rain all affect conditions on the actual day of your outing.<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"sn-seasons\">\r\n<article><h3>April to December<\/h3><p>This broad period provides a starting point for planning. Also check with a local dive centre which month suits your chosen coastal region and activities.<\/p><\/article>\r\n<article><h3>January to March<\/h3><p>The southern hemisphere summer brings more rain and a higher risk of cyclones, which can restrict outings. Keep your fins clear of it too. Do not touch, chase or feed turtles or other animals. Follow the protected area\u2019s rules and your guide\u2019s instructions.<\/p>\r\n<h3>Wildlife sightings vary<\/h3><p>What you see depends on the location, the season and chance. We therefore do not plan outings with guaranteed sightings of particular animals.<\/p>\r\n<h3>Whales off Sainte-Marie<\/h3><p>The National Tourism Board gives June to September as the humpback whale season around Sainte-Marie. This depends on factors including your dive profile and the sequence of dives you have made.
